Meet Thomas Campbell Bourland, DDS
Campbell Bourland, DDS
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
When a water-skiing or ‘80s rock star career didn’t pan out for Dr. Campbell Bourland, he set his sights on dentistry. He jokes about this now because he now can’t picture himself doing anything else and is committed to the profession and the patients he serves at his busy East Dallas practice. Dr. Bourland has practiced a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including orthognathic surgery, pathology and reconstruction, dental implants, facial trauma, and wisdom teeth removal, for 11 years. “When I went to dental school, I realized I had discovered the best of all worlds in this specialty,” he says. His patients appreciate knowing they can receive dental care in one location and that he and his experienced staff will go above and beyond to provide the utmost comfort. “This is a one-stop-shop and a single dentist practice,” he says. “I believe that, through the years, it’s all about patient care. Whether mom needs a dental implant, your son has lost a tooth from sports, or your teen needs wisdom teeth removal, we offer comprehensive and compassionate care.” Board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Bourland served as medical director of facial trauma at THR-Presbyterian Dallas and serves on the board of directors for the Texas Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, and—of course—playing guitar every chance he gets.
